After his fight at ONE Fight Night 6, Chingiz Allazov has his eyes set on facing another one of the world's best strikers.

On January 13, Allazov finally got his shot at Superbon and the featherweight kickboxing world championship. With the best performance of his career, he dethroned the champion with a devastating knockout in the second round.

As the winner of the ONE Featherweight World Grand Prix and the division's new world champion, Allazov has got plenty of options for who he could face next time he steps inside the circle.

Whilst a defense of his world championship against one of the many great contenders in the division would seem to be the most logical step, ‘Chinga’ has his eyes set on another blockbuster matchup.

Regian Eersel is another competitor with a claim to being the best striker on the planet. With Eersel holding both the Muay Thai and kickboxing world championships at lightweight, Chingiz Allazov is keen to move up a weight class to fight for more belts.

In his post-fight interview at ONE Fight Night 6, ‘Chinga’ said:

“I like this fight, at 77 kilos. I don’t need to [worry about the] test, hydration test.”

Chingiz Allazov sends message to Superbon and his team following spectacular TKO victory

Newly crowned ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Chingiz Allazov was absolutely dominant in his world title fight with Superbon Singha Mawynn. At ONE Fight Night 6, he dismantled the champion in two rounds, but made sure to show respect to the former champ after the fight.

‘Chinga’ ascended to world champion status with a second-round knockout over Superbon at ONE Championship’s first event of the year, which took place on January 13 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Allazov’s punching power was the difference in their main event showdown. Whilst many expected it to be a closely-contested fight, ‘Chinga’ put the pressure on his opponent and dropped him three times to win the fight decisively.

In his post-fight interview, the Azerbaijani-Belarusian fighter said that whilst he was proud of his performance at ONE Fight Night 6, he gave Superbon and his team the credit that they deserve:

“I have something to say to Superbon and his team. I want to say that I have big respect for this guy. He really is one of the best kickboxers on the planet. I saw a lot of his fights, I have really big respect.”

He added:

“I wish him the best and a speedy recovery, and yes, I knocked him out. But I wish him the best recovery. I wish him all the best in life. Thank you for the fight, Superbon.”

The world title conquest continued an eventful last year and a half for Chingiz Allazov, which also saw him win the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix.

He is now on the lookout for new world titles to vie for while keeping his newly won gold.
