Coach Eric Nicksick questions dissenting judge's score in Dustin Jacoby's split decision loss to Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Allen

MMA coach Erick Nicksick did not seem pleased with the judges' scorecards for the Khalil Rountree Jr. vs Dustin Jacoby fight at UFC Vegas 63.

Rountree Jr. and Jacoby went toe-to-toe in a light heavyweight matchup that opened up the main card for UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Allen.

The fight was a back-and-forth affair that lasted the allotted 15-minute duration. In the end, 'The War Horse' took home the victory via split decision with 29-28, 28-29 and 29-28 on the three judges' scorecards.

Nicksick was left confused by the scorecards and he let it be known on social media.

The MMA coach uploaded a tweet where he criticized judge Ben Cartlidge for his scorecard. Cartlidge scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Rountree. Nicksick questioned as to how the judge could give the second round to 'The War Horse' as it appeared clear that Jacoby had done better in that round.

"This is were transparency in judging is important, this judge should have to explain why he saw Rountree winning round 2. The most clear round to score for Jacoby. #UFCVegas63," wrote Erick Nicksick.

Khalil Rountree Jr. is now on a three-fight win streak

With a hard-earned victory at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Allen, Khalil Rountree Jr. has now won three fights in a row. As of now, this is the 32-year-old's longest winning streak in the UFC.

Roundtree Jr. faced a lot of ups and downs early in his UFC career. 'The War Horse' appears to have made drastic improvements to his fight game, resutling in the current winning spree.

The 32-year-old started his UFC career in 2016 with two back-to-back losses. Rountree Jr. turned things around and went undefeated in his next four octagon appearances - three non-consecutive victories and one no-contest.

The California native was then stopped in his tracks by Johnny Walker, who delivered a brutal KO loss to 'The War Horse'.

Khalil Rountree Jr. bounced back with a unanimous decision victory over Eryk Anders, only to lose his next two fights against Ion Cutelaba and Marcin Prachnio.

Six years and 13 fights later in the UFC, Rountree Jr. appears to have found his momentum with his current streak. If 'The War Horse' continues to stack up wins, it might not be long before he enters the conversation for a title shot.
