Colby Covington recently entered the UFC 286 fray after going AWOL for nearly a year.

'Chaos' scored a dominant decision win over Jorge Masvidal in a much-anticipated grudge match at UFC 272 last year. However, the fight did little to settle the rivalry between the two as 'Chaos' was allegedly sucker-punched by Masvidal outside a Miami restaurant hardly two weeks later.

While he pressed charges against 'Gamebred', Colby Covington has largely been absent from the public eye over the past year. However, 'Chaos' recently shocked fans by weighing in as the surprise back-up fighter for the UFC 286 main-event between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards.

While Colby Covington won't need to serve his back-up duties, 'Chaos' is confident about fighting the winner of the UFC 286 headliner. The two-time welterweight title challenger also claims to have stolen the spotlight away from Usman and Edwards by entering the mix. The 35-year-old said:

"You know, I don't really have a prediction. I just wanna see a good fight. You know, hopefully they fight their hearts out. Cause now they gotta come see Daddy next. They gotta come see the man. The man that drew all their ratings. Everybody was talking me this weekend. They weren't talking about them. No one cares about them. They have no charisma. Those guys, they don't do anything."
"I don't really care what happens, whoever's next, that title's coming back to America. I'm finally about to hit my prime, mentally and physically. I feel better than I've ever felt. I have improved a lot and I'm ready to show the world who the greatest fighter of all time is."
