Conor McGregor has once again targeted Artem Lobov in a series of tweets as their ongoing legal battle continues.
McGregor blasted his former friend on Twitter for demanding a share of the profits from his Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey brand after swearing on his child's life that he wouldn't during a direct message exchange.
This clearly angered the former two-division UFC champion, who wrote:
"Swearing on your child's life is ludicrous pal. Actually Revolting. 'Keeps me warm on the coldest of nights' hahaha f***sake lad wtf happened you man? P*ss off and leave me alone how bout that lad? F**kin turn coat pr*ck."
'The Notorious' also included a photo with that same quote from Lobov stating that he can't go back on his word.
The Instagram messages included date back to February 2019, which was four months removed from the infamous UFC 229 post-fight brawl. The quote included in the photo reads:
"Another message from Lobov to McGregor allegedly said: 'Now that I told you all this and like I said I swear on my child I will not take a cent, this is something I cannot go back on.'"
The ongoing feud between the two former SBG teammates, which was as a result of the Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey sale, doesn't look like it will be resolved or repaired, and most likely ended a friendship.
Artem Lobov indirectly caused the Conor McGregor-dolly incident
Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov's friendship is well documented, even dating back to Lobov's stint on The Ultimate Fighter.
During UFC 223 fight week, Lobov was involved in a confrontation with Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team, which ended with 'The Eagle' slapping him.
After hearing what transpired, Conor McGregor obviously wasn't too happy and flew to Brooklyn, New York, with his teammates. It could be argued that if 'The Russian Hammer' wasn't in a confrontation with Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team, he wouldn't have been looking for a fight with the Dagestani.
The former two-division UFC champion threw a dolly at a bus with Nurmagomedov inside, along with many of the other fighters competing at the event, resulting in some receiving cuts from the shattered glass.
McGregor then challenged 'The Eagle' for the UFC lightweight championship at UFC 229 in what ended up being the highest-selling UFC pay-per-view of all time.
