Conor McGregor has weighed in on Jake Paul's recent multi-year deal with the PFL. 'Notorious' had a surprising take on Paul offering 50% revenue share to fighters in the promotion's new pay-per-view series.

McGregor labeled Paul "numbnuts" for giving away 50% of a future purse. The Dubliner wrote in a now-deleted tweet:

"Numbnuts gave away 50% of a future purse if he does an MMA bout? Wow. What an idiot. Joint partnership what? For what you Wally. Wally."

Paul became a shareholder in the PFL with a multi-year deal between the two parties that was announced on Thursday. 'The Problem Child' will also make his MMA debut in the promotion's new pay-per-view Super Fight division, which he co-founded.

A well-known advocate of the fighter pay movement, Paul also stated that fighters in the new division will receive 50% of the revenue share. Also, in contrast to the UFC, fighters will seemingly be allowed to monetize their own sponsorship deals.

Conor McGregor and Jake Paul have taken multiple digs at each other since the YouTuber's entry into the world of combat sports. With Paul set to make his MMA debut, a clash between the two at some point in the future wouldn't be shocking.

Jake Paul calls out one former opponent of Conor McGregor, rejects another

UFC veteran Donald Cerrone, the only fighter Conor McGregor has beaten since 2016, recently called out Jake Paul for a boxing matchup. 'The Problem Child', who has a history of taking on washed-out opponents, surprisingly rejected the matchup.

Paul is seemingly tired of testing himself against older fighters and claimed to be on the lookout for younger opponents. This was followed by the announcement of Paul's deal with the PFL, which also included a callout to another former opponent of Conor McGregor.

'The Problem Child' called out the iconic Nate Diaz for two outings, one each in boxing and MMA. The 25-year-old said on YouTube:

"I’ve already disrupted boxing, and now it’s time to disrupt MMA. I know this is such a tough sport, and this is not gonna be easy, but if I can do it in boxing, I can do it in MMA. I’m so dedicated to this that I offered Nate Diaz a two-fight deal. First, we box, then six months later, we fight MMA in the PFL and lay it all on the line. If that’s not b*lls, I don’t know what is!”
