Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor has amassed a net worth of roughly $200 million, according to reports, thanks to his in-cage performances, worldwide popularity, and savvy business decisions.

McGregor's immense wealth has afforded him a life of luxury, but 'The Notorious' has never forgotten to give back to the people who need it most. There are countless examples of the Irishman's philanthropic efforts, but most recently, he donated a staggering $3.7 million to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The charity focuses its efforts on helping homeless veterans and 9/11 first responders. A Twitter account with the username @innermindenigma posted a tweet applauding Conor McGregor's donation, which 'The Notorious' retweeted:

"High praise to Conor Mcgregor, donating 3.7 million dollars to help homeless veterans and 9/11 first responders. Great job by Frank Siller and the charity to ensure 93% of donations go to people who need it most."

A significant portion of Conor McGregor's wealth stems from his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather in 2017. According to reports, 'The Notorious' walked away with a handsome $100 million cheque, and Mayweather earned a stunning $300 million.

Since then, McGregor has launched his own whiskey company called Proper No. Twelve, which has achieved immense success thus far.

But despite the Irishman's incredible wealth and list of accomplishments in MMA, he is hungry for more. McGregor will take on Michael Chandler upon his return to the UFC, with a date yet to be confirmed.

'The Notorious' has been out of action since July 2021, when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He completed his recovery in late-2022, and is currently filming season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) alongside Chandler as the two respective coaches on the show.

The pair will battle following the season finale in August.

Conor McGregor explains why he is still fighting - "How would you not want to make this walk?"

Conor McGregor is without a doubt the wealthiest MMA fighter of all time, and many have attributed his recent slump in form to a lack of drive.

Marvin Hagler, a former world champion boxer, famously stated, "It's tough to get out of bed and do roadwork at 5 a.m. when you're sleeping in silk pajamas."

Some believe that the hunger displayed by McGregor during his early UFC career has vanished due to his financial success. But during his recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, McGregor dispelled these theories:

"I've got the satin sheets, the silk sheets, the f***ing Egyptian cotton duvets and pillows. Competition. It's the best buzz ever, why would you not want to do it?! How would you not want to make this walk?"
