Conor McGregor went on a Twitter spree this past weekend, during which the Irishman proclaimed his intentions to eventually make a move up to the middleweight division.

McGregor's recent gain in muscle mass, as seen in his social media posts, has not gone unnoticed and has been a topic of discussion among fans. Considering the physical transformation that McGregor has gone through, it's not surprising that 'The Notorious' may be looking to compete in heavier weight classes down the line.

McGregor tweeted:

"I'm gonna give middleweight a go at some point 100%."

However, Chael Sonnen wants McGregor to pump the brakes on his plans and claims that the Irish superstar may be putting his career in danger unless someone gives him a reality check.

In a recent video posted on his YouTube channel, Sonnen discussed Conor McGregor's recent claims, and while recalling his own experience, 'The American Gangster' said:

"Conor can't just go up to 185, we want to see you win a fight in your weight-class... There's a level of proof that you need and if you have the arrogance to believe you can go up to 185 pounds... Gotta tell you about the time I tried to fight Daniel Cormier. I got a real hard talk and I think maybe it's time you sit down and we have that same talk."

As mentioned above, McGregor tweeted about his intentions to fight at middleweight, however, Renato Moicano doesn't think that would end well for the Irishman. The Brazilian seemingly gave his take on the former two-division champion's goals and wrote:

"Middleweight...Imagine been that delusional #MMA."
