Conor McGregor's ally reacts to Cody Garbrandt losing a decision at UFC Atlanta: "S**t hurts"

Cody Garbrandt's recent fight result at UFC Atlanta elicited a response from one of Conor McGregor's friends, Dillon Danis, who said he found it especially tough to watch the former bantamweight champion lose.

Heading into UFC Atlanta against Raoni Barcelos, 'No Love' was looking to get past his defeat last year to Deiveson Figueiredo. However, contrary to his expectations, Garbrandt suffered a unanimous decision loss to Barcelos.

Danis took to his X account after the fight and wrote:

"Man, watching Cody Garbrandt lose just hits different for some reason. Sh*t hurts."

After a six-fight winning streak following his UFC debut, Garbrandt has encountered difficulties winning in the leading MMA promotion. The 33-year-old has secured only three victories in his last ten UFC bouts.

When Conor McGregor and Cody Garbrandt engaged in a physical altercation

The Ultimate Fighter season 22, featuring Conor McGregor and Urijah Faber as coaches, aired in 2015. In the sixth episode of the season, McGregor was involved in a physical confrontation with Cody Garbrandt.

In the episode, McGregor made fun of TJ Dillashaw, who appeared as a guest coach for Faber's team. As a result, Garbrandt, who was on Faber's team as an assistant coach, acted in an aggressive manner towards McGregor. He immediately jumped up and pushed the Irishman back.

The feud between McGregor and Garbrandt appears to have cooled down over the years. 'No Love', in particular, has frequently expressed his support for McGregor.
