Cub Swanson recently had to eat some humble pie after a callout of UFC middleweight Caio Borralho went wrong.

Borralho is fighting on the preliminary card of UFC 280, which takes place this weekend in Abu Dhabi. 'The Natural' featured in episode five of the UFC Embedded series, which showcases behind-the-scenes footage of fight week. In the video, the Brazilian is seen driving a Ferrari whilst discussing his MMA career.

The UFC posted the footage to their Instagram account, where Swanson commented:

"Hey Fighters! Please don’t buy a sports car before owning a house and a rental property"

Borralho responded with:

"@cubswanson do you really think I havve money to buya Ferrari with only 2 UFC fights?? What world do you live in man? I live in Sao Paulo, why would I buy a car in ABU DHABI?"

Swanson responded by saying that he assumed it was a rental but was just passing on knowledge to the younger generation:

"@caioborralho I figured it was a rental. Just thought I’d mention it to all the young impressionable fighters that love to imitate what they see"

Cub Swanson gives health update following TKO loss last weekend to Jonathan Martinez

Cub Swanson took on rising bantamweight contender Jonathan Martinez in the co-main event of last weekend's UFC Fight Night.

'Killer' made his bantamweight debut against Martinez and found early success after landing some sharp punches on his opponent. However, his opponent's destructive leg kicks took their toll on Swanson towards the end of round one.

When round two began, 'Killer' had no answer for the barrage of kicks he was absorbing. With less than a minute left in the stanza, a leg kick connected around his knee area, putting an end to the fight.

'Killer' took to Instagram to provide his fans with a health update:

"For everyone wondering. My knee is fine, it’s just a bone bruise. What was really bothering me, was somehow in this sequence in the first round I tore some cartilage and fractured a rib. Which made it difficult to breathe and blocking those body kicks were not fun..."
