Fans recently gave their thoughts on Belal Muhammad receiving a hero's welcome in his hometown Chicago. Muhammad defeated Leon Edwards with a strong performance, winning the welterweight title via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 304 last month.
Muhammad's victory over Edwards earned him more than simply the welterweight title. 'Remember the Name,' the first Palestinian fighter to become a UFC champion, is also delighted to represent Chicago and was thrilled to return with the title to his loved ones.
After winning the belt in Manchester, Muhammad went on a quick vacation, but two weeks later, he came home to take part in a championship parade. The reigning champion took to social media and shared a clip of him celebrating.
He was seated on a black Lamborghini, surrounded by members of the Muslim community in the area who were singing and dancing and waving the Palestinian flag. He captioned the post:

Belal Muhammad addresses the Muslim community in his hometown Chicago
Belal Muhammad has not shied away from expressing his support for his homeland, Palestine, in the continuing armed war with Israel. Muhammad, born and raised in the USA to Palestinian parents, has remained close to his roots and advocated for his homeland on multiple occasions.
After winning the welterweight title at UFC 304, Muhammad arrived at the Muslim Community Center of Chicago to see the mosque there. The reigning champion sat down and discussed the cause of Palestine. He refused to let the destruction in the region obliterate memories of his home nation, saying:
“No matter what that can’t be erased from history. Palestine will have a champion, a world champion, that is never going to be erased. They can’t erase those colors.”
