UFC CEO Dana White, known for his close ties with former United States president Donald Trump, found himself in a heated exchange during a live interview with CNN’s Laura Coates. The conversation focused on White’s support for Trump and his role in introducing him at the recent Republican National Convention.
When Coates brought up Republican criticisms of Vice President Kamala Harris as a ‘DEI’ (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) hire, White responded sharply, urging voters to focus on who is best fit to lead the country.
White clarified that he holds no personal grudge against Harris but questioned her qualifications, sparking further debate. When Coates pressed on gender equality in politics, White acknowledged the complexity of the issue but emphasized the need for voters to prioritize competence:
“As voters, what we need to do is cut through all the BS and you have to look at who do you think is best fit to run the country for the next four years.”
Criticizing both mainstream and conservative media for their biased coverage, White remarked:
“You guys are really bad. Fox is bad. Everybody’s bad. Cut through the BS and vote for who you think is most fit to run the country.”
The exchange quickly went viral, igniting a flurry of reactions on social media. Some fans criticized White’s political stance, while others echoed his sentiments about media bias.
One individual wrote:
“Neither CNN/MSNBC etc or Fox etc will ever admit they are biased not just because they may not see it, but because it's their business model. There's no money in real news. There's money in taking sides, taking shots and hyping. No different than the fight game.”
