Darren Till has shown throughout the years that he is not afraid to speak his mind and today was no different when he urged retired UK boxer Kell Brook to just admit he loves "doing fat slugs" after a viral video of his drug abuse emerged.

In what seems like a common occurrence for British fighters, 'The Gorilla' has a brash personality who creates controversy the majority of the time he speaks. Others who share this trait include Conor McGregor, Paddy Pimblett, and Michael Bisping, all of whom are from a similar part of the world.

In response to Kell Brook's social media apology, Darren Till told the popular sportsman to embrace his love of something that he claims "80% of the population" does, despite the boxer receiving a handful of criticism from the media.

"Apologising for something that 80% of the population do. Just front it son, say you love doing fat slugs, you'll get more respect for it. Nice 3 piece combo at the end of the video as well bro!"

Kell Brook admitted that his struggles with mental health and the inability to accept retirement from the sport of boxing have led to him going down a path he believes isn't right.

With a record of 40 wins and just 3 losses, 'Special K' bowed out of the sport on top by earning a TKO victory over Amir Khan, the man he held a long-term feud with. Many believe he retired too soon and considering his only three losses came against Terence Crawford, Errol Spence, and 'GGG', this could be the case.

Darren Till's run of bad form inside the octagon

Joining the UFC as a highly-rated prospect in 2015, Darren Till had the world at his feet after remaining unbeaten in his first six outings with the promotion, leading him to a title shot at UFC 228.

Although a submission loss to then-champion Tyron Woodley wasn't the end of the world, it did kickstart a run of disastrous form inside the octagon for the scouser, who has won just once since his title bout almost five years ago.

Excluding the win over Kelvin Gastelum, Till suffered a knockout loss to Jorge Masvidal, a decision defeat to Robert Whittaker, and has been on the wrong end of back-to-back submissions against Derek Brunson and Dricus du Plessis.
