UFC men's flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo has launched a scathing attack on "traitor" Brandon Moreno for defending James Krause.

The Brazilian has taken issue with Moreno's recent post on Instagram. In the post, Moreno shared a photo of himself with his coach James Krause with the caption "Waiting for justice." 'The Assassin Baby' is referring to the latest betting scandal surrounding his coach Krause.

James Krause is currently suspended from appearing at UFC events and coaching fighters after several sports betting companies reported suspicious betting activity regarding a bout involving one of his fighters. The fight in question is Darrick Minner vs. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke at UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs. Lemos on November 5.

Minner has since been released from the UFC.

Deiveson Figueiredo took to Twitter to label his upcoming opponent Moreno a "traitor" and told his coach to bet the house on his victory:

"What a cute couple! A traitor working with a man who fixes fights. Ain't no fixing this fight so tell your Ex-coach to bet the house because I'm knocking your traitor a*s out! @Assassinbaby"

The flyweight champ is set to defend his title against Brandon Moreno at UFC 283 in their quadrilogy bout. The pair are 1-1-1 in a head-to-head with their fourth fight expected to be the end of their long rivalry.

Bellator president Scott Coker releases statement regarding James Krause

With James Krause suspended, there are fighters on both the UFC and Bellator's rosters without a coach.

Whilst the UFC was quick to release a statement in regards to Krause and the investigation, Bellator MMA have yet to confirm whether their fighters working under Krause or at his Glory MMA gym are eligible to compete.

As reported by MMA journalist Nolan King, Bellator MMA president Scott Coker released his own statement on the suspensions. Coker believes the decision made by the UFC protects the "integrity" of the sport:

"Regulatory agencies have taken action that they deem necessary to ensure that any appearance of impropriety is removed from our sport, and I support those actions. Bellator MMA is a promotion that highly values the importance of independent regulation of our sport, and we will continue to abide by the mandates of the regulatory bodies which sanction and oversee our events."

Bellator are expected to make a formal announcement of their ruling following Coker's statement.
