ONE flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson was in attendance to watch ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. He recently shared his thoughts on the bout between Stamp Fairtex and Anna 'Supergirl' Jaroonsak.
'Mighty Mouse' is currently prepping for his marquee trilogy fight with Adriano Moraes in May. But as a true fan of the sport, Johnson watched the entire ONE Fight Night 6 card.
Afterwards, he spoke to SCMP MMA about Stamp's performance:
"That was the first time I saw Supergirl fight, and I think she did a good job taking the fight to Stamp. Stamp did make a good job of making adjustments. I think those adjustments were made for her mixed martial arts training. She was more mobile."
Stamp, who was originally scheduled to face Anissa Meksen in a custom-rules match, ended up facing 'Supergirl' in a kickboxing showdown. The former two-sport champion eked out a split decision win over her rising compatriot.

Demetrious Johnson can't wait to compete in front of an American crowd again at ONE Fight Night 10
ONE Championship will plant its roots on American soil for the first time in its history this May, with ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.
'Mighty Mouse' is looking forward to competing in his home nation for the first time since departing the UFC in 2018. Johnson told the media:
"I'm super excited. Obviously, I started my career in the United States of America and I'll come back to it this late in my career. It's amazing. So I'm very happy for the fans, the fans over in America, to get the opportunity to see me fight once again."
Not only will the winner of the rubber match have ultimate bragging rights, but the victor will add to their legacy immensely. Each man owns a finish over the other, with Johnson scoring a flying-knee stoppage in the last meeting.
