Did Conor McGregor talk about moving into boxing promotion? Eddie Hearn answers 

Conor McGregor extended his hand to Eddie Hearn earlier this month to help arrange for Katie Taylor to fight at her dream venue, Croke Park. 'The Notorious' offered to foot the bill to organize a fight at the Gaelic games stadium.

Hearn and McGregor met up several days ago at the Irishman's pub, The Black Forge Inn, to discuss the matter further. But despite McGregor's willingness to help the boxing promoter, he has no interest in entering the business himself.

During a recent interview with iD Boxing, Hearn revealed that plans are underway for Taylor's next two fights and that he may need the former UFC champion's help in September:

"It looks likely that Taylor vs. Serrano will land at 3Arena, and then do a Croke Park fight in September with [McGregor's] support."

When asked if Conor McGregor expressed any eagerness in becoming a boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn said:

"Not really no. I mean he could do whatever he wants, he's got the Forged Irish Stout - which I had a little pint of - top draw. The Apple Proper Twelve - top draw... He's doing the [Ultimate Fighter] UFC and the coming back with a fight. I look forward to seeing him in the ring."

Conor McGregor's highly awaited return will take place against Michael Chandler following the conclusion of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). The pair of lightweight stars will coach separate teams and face off in the octagon once the season is finished.

The Irishman broke his leg in July 2021 against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and recently completed his rehabilitation. There is speculation as to how much he will be compromised going forward, as 'The Notorious' is known for his elusive footwork and sharp kicks.

Conor McGregor shares his thoughts on the Michael Chandler fight

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are the coaches for the upcoming season of TUF, which airs in May. Following the season's conclusion, the pair are set to do battle in a much-anticipated clash.

Two of the most explosive fighters in the lightweight division will go toe-to-toe in search of a win, as both men have suffered two defeats in their last three fights.

McGregor was recently seen outside his pub, The Black Forge Inn, where he previewed the upcoming matchup with Chandler while speaking to All Out Fighting. He said:

"Looking forward to it, feel good, feel energetic and feel ready. I'm throwing up my high kicks faster than I'm throwing up my jab. So I'm very excited to get back."
