Diego Sanchez has called out Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz as he looks for an opponent for his second Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) appearance.

Speaking to Mike Owens of MiddleEasy ahead of his BKFC debut, the former UFC lightweight title challenger said:

"We're looking to get another legend fight. That's why I wanted the Nick Diaz fight or the Nate Diaz fight. I already beat Nick Diaz in the UFC so it would make for a good rematch. All hands, come on, it's a good storyline. If Nate Diaz was ever there to step up to the plate, I would love to fight him too."

Sanchez added:

"He's looking to try to make a big money fight with Jake Paul or Floyd Mayweather. He's trying to just make his money. I respect him on that. We're all trying to make our money and that's the same reason why I want to fight a Nick Diaz because he has a big following and he has the Nick Diaz army and that means that we expand the company."

Nick Diaz is still signed to the UFC roster, making a fight with Diego Sanchez unlikely for the time being. His younger brother Nate is a free agent after fighting out his contract with the UFC last year, making a potential fight against Sanchez plausible.

Sanchez's last professional outing was his unanimous decision loss to fellow former UFC star Kevin Lee under Khabib Nurmagomedov's Eagle FC promotion. The TUF champion will take on Austin Trout in the co-main event at the upcoming KnuckleMania 3 card on February 17 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.

Nate Diaz on BKFC and PFL's radar

Nate Diaz is currently among the most coveted fighters in the combat sports free agent market. BKFC resident David Feldman previously took to his promotion’s podcast to share his interest in signing the former UFC lightweight title challenger.

Feldman claimed that Diaz would be "a great fit" for the bare knuckle boxing promotion.

Diaz has been linked with a fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul for quite some time now. With Paul having recently signed with the PFL, this matchup appears to be all the more likely. 'The Problem Child' called for not only a boxing bout, but an MMA fight against the Stockton native as well.
