Yes, former MMA fighter Dan Hardy's wife Veronica Macedo is a UFC fighter. Macedo signed with the premier MMA promotion in 2016 and currently holds a pro record of 7-4-1 (2-4 in the UFC).

In her most recent fight on March 18 at the O2 Arena in London, Veronica Macedo clinched a unanimous decision win over Juliana Miller, marking her second victory in the American promotion.

Interestingly, her husband did not attend any of the fight week activities in the lead-up to her most recent bout. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Hardy revealed that the promotion had banned him from taking part in any fight week events for Veronica Macedo's bout:

"But I mean, I had a very, very minor disagreement with a member of staff and I was banned from all fight week activities last week… I went to the official weigh-ins, that was the only thing I went to. But everything else I was banned from."

Having worked for the premier promotion as both a fighter and an analyst, Hardy was fired from the UFC in 2021 over an alleged altercation involving another staff member.

'The Outlaw' is a former welterweight title challenger and boasts a pro record of 25-10 and one no-contest. He has shared the octagon with many of the greats of his generation, including Georges St-Pierre, Carlos Condit, and Anthony Johnson among others.

In his last fight in 2012, the 40-year-old secured a unanimous decision win against Amir Sadollah.

Dan Hardy joins UFC's rival promotion PFL while Veronica Macedo continues to climb the UFC ranks

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has made tremendous strides since its inception in 2018, signing prominent combat sports names like Claressa Shields, Anthony Pettis, and even Jake Paul to its ranks. Dan Hardy is the latest of many prominent names to sign with the PFL.

Earlier this month, the organization announced on its social media handles that the former UFC welterweight title challenger would be joining the promotion as the Director of Fighting Operations for PFL Europe.

In a recent interview with Sportsmail, the 40-year-old elaborated on his role, saying:

"It’s a very important position for me. It allows me to, not only recruit good talent across Europe but also make sure they join the PFL in the right way. I can make sure they get looked after in the process of joining the PFL roster and that they’ve got assistance throughout their career."

Meanwhile, Veronica Macedo is grabbing the momentum fast in the UFC women's division. The 28-year-old is set to return to the UFC octagon this weekend as she takes on Jamey-Lyn Horth on the preliminary card of the UFC Austin event.
