UFC middleweight king Dricus du Plessis has issued a response to a cryptic social media post by Khamzat Chimaev.
'Borz' uploaded a post on X which featured a picture of Donald Trump. In the caption, Chimaev mentioned du Plessis.

MMA fans were left a bit confused by the 30-year-old's post. Then, 'Stillknocks' responded with a cryptic message of his own in the comments section, adding to the confusion.

Du Plessis' post featured a close-up picture of a man's teeth while smilng.
Chimaev and former champion Sean Strickland currently seem to be in contention for the next middleweight title shot. Both individuals scored victories in their last bouts.
However, it seems like the champion is more keen to share the octagon with Chimaev. In a recent episode of Fight Chats, 'Stillknocks' shared that he was more excited about the prospect of fighting 'Borz' for the first time, claiming that the matchup would excite the fans more:
"As a fan of the sport, and as the middleweight champion, [Chimaev] is a fight that gets me more excited. Taking somebody's [undefeated record]. I've beaten Strickland before and I know I'll beat him again. Getting that Khamzat fight, that gets me excited. I think the whole world, the fans want to see it... The Khamzat fight is 100 percent what I want."

Jon Anik weighs in on Dricus du Plessis vs. Khamzat Chimaev
UFC commentator Jon Anik has shared his thoughts on the possible showdown between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev.
Anik recently did an interview with Odd Shark Sports and discussed the middleweight matchup. The UFC commentator branded the pairing his dream fight at the moment.
The veteran broadcaster added that with his impressive victory over Robert Whittaker, Chimaev might have hurt Sean Strickland's chances of fighting for the belt next:
"My dream matchup right now is Khamzat Chimaev vs. Dricus du Plessis. I'm not sure we can put together a more interesting championship matchup right now. With respect to Sean Strickland, who is a deserving number one contender and a former champion, I think Khamzat Chimaev really upset the apple cart with what he did against Robert Whittaker. That's the fight that I would like to see."
