‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade has been on an unstoppable upwards trajectory since signing with ONE Championship. At ONE on Prime Video 3, Andrade was moments away from winning the bantamweight world championship and emerging as one of the most exciting champions in MMA.

After hurting his opponent, John Lineker, with a knee to the body, Andrade’s follow-up strike landed low to the groin of his compatriot. 'Hands of Stone' took the timeout to recover but could not continue. With Lineker missing weight before the fight, the no-contest result left the world championship vacant.

After the fight, Fabricio Andrade decided to cancel his vacation plans and return to training with his eyes set on winning the vacant bantamweight title.

In an interview with SCMP MMA, Andrade explained his decision:

“I was meant to go to Europe. That was my plan after the fight. Everything changed and I landed in Bangkok. I just had one week to think about everything and decide what I’m going to do next.”

After his performance in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3, Andrade proved that he is worthy of getting another shot at bantamweight gold.

A rematch with John Lineker or a match-up with the winner of the upcoming fight between Stephen Loman and Bibiano Fernandes could see Andrade finally accomplish what he says he is destined for.

“I’m just focused on Bibiano” - Stephen Loman won’t address Fabricio Andrade until he defeats Bibiano Fernandes

‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman refuses to give too much thought to Fabrcio Andrade as he prepares for the biggest fight of his career to date. At ONE on Prime Video 4, the Filipino contender will face former ONE bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes.

With the ONE bantamweight world title currently lying vacant, many fans assume that Stephen Loman will face Fabricio Andrade for the title if he is able to get past Fernandes.

Fabricio Andrade is eager to get another shot at the world championship after his fight with John Lineker ended in a no-contest. With Lineker taking time to recover, Andrade wasted no time in calling out Loman, who is zeroed in on defeating Fernandes in a few weeks' time.

‘The Sniper’ told The MMA Super-Fan:

“Right now I’m taking things one step at a time. I’m just focused on Bibiano, but I know that Andrade’s one of the best fighters right now.”
