Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight MMA world champion ‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade feels that now is the perfect time for him to chase ONE Championship kickboxing gold in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

When the 26-year-old signed with ONE a few years ago, Andrade said it was to compete in Muay Thai and kickboxing. Fast-forward to 2023, and ‘Wonder Boy’ is now the reigning ONE bantamweight MMA king.

That being said, Andrade will now have a rare opportunity to become a two-sport world champion when he enters the ring for his next fight.

Andrade is set to face ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion ‘The General’ Jonathan Haggerty in the main event of ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, November 3rd.

The bout will be for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing throne.

Speaking to YouTube channel, The MMA Superfan, in a recent interview, Andrade says he feels the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title is well within his grasp now.

‘Wonder Boy’ said:

“It feels good, you know. It wasn't like all planned until I got the offer to fight for the kickboxing world title. But when I got the offer, it felt right for me.”
“You know, I've been competing in kickboxing for a long time but I never had the opportunity to become a world champion of kickboxing and I think now I got the opportunity so it makes sense for me to take it.”

If Andrade beats Haggerty this November, he will become a rare two-sport ONE world champion.

Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action of ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade live and absolutely free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
