Fabricio Andrade is extremely confident going into his rematch with John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

The first time that the two Brazilians met, ‘Wonder Boy’ proved that he is at world championship level by dominating the majority of the fight against the former world titleholder.

With their first fight at ONE on Prime Video 3 ending in a disappointing no contest following an unintentional low blow, an immediate rematch was always going to be next for the two dynamic strikers.

For the three rounds that it lasted, Andrade was the fighter that took the most confidence away from his performance as they both prepare for the rematch. Had he not landed a knee to Lineker’s groin that resulted in the fight being waved off, he would likely already have his hands on the ONE bantamweight world championship.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Fabricio Andrade spoke about the confidence that he has gained from their first meeting that he will put into practice on February 24:

“I'm faster than him. I'm more powerful than he is. I'm more skilled than he is. So I just have to be patient, take my time and knock him out. It is what it is. Not trying to be overconfident or look past him, but I'm a better fighter than he is. In this fight, I'm going to show that.”

ONE Fight Night 7 is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Fabricio Andrade admits he put a lot of pressure on himself in first fight vs. John Lineker

At ONE on Prime Video 3 last October, Fabricio Andrade had the opportunity to become a megastar in ONE Championship. With the ONE bantamweight world championship on the line in his fight with John Lineker, the Brazilian fighter has since admitted that he put too much pressure on himself going into the fight.

From the eye test alone, you wouldn’t think that given his performance against Lineker in the biggest fight of his career to date. ‘Wonder Boy’ may have failed to become the world champion due to an unintentional foul that ended the fight in a no contest, but he did prove his star qualities.

At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Fabricio Andrade will get the chance to rewrite history and fully realize his moment in the spotlight.

In an interview with ONE Championship, he spoke about the extra factors that put more pressure on his shoulders going into ONE on Prime Video 3:

“In general, just for the fight, I was a bit stressed, you know. I put a lot of pressure on myself and the whole camp was like, so much. It was a very tough camp because, you know, I was getting ready to fight him as soon as I finished my fight against Kwon [Won Il]."

‘Wonder Boy’ added:

"So I finished the fight, I went straight to the gym, I started to get ready for him [Lineker] because I knew that I was next in line. That was a long camp and was very stressful.”
