Fabricio Andrade says ‘positive’ person Anatoly Malykhin is a joy to be around: “He’s changing the atmosphere”

Throughout his run in ONE Championship, Fabricio Andrade has found himself an ally who shares his dedication and single-minded focus to reach the pinnacle of the sport.

When you talk about the last few years in the promotion’s history, it’s impossible not to mention the accomplishments of both ‘Wonder Boy’ and his teammate Anatoly Malykhin.

Emerging in the promotion as promising contenders, both men produced incredible runs and highlight reel finishes to work their way towards world championships.

Having won the bantamweight MMA world title earlier this year at ONE Fight Night 7, the Brazilian is looking to continue his momentum next time out as he tries to become a two-sport ONE world champion.

At ONE Fight Night 16 on November 3, Andrade will test himself in a striking-only contest by facing Jonathan Haggerty for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship.

The MMA and Muay Thai world titleholders are set to go to war at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in a blockbuster main event that is sure to produce some highlights.

Ahead of his return to the Circle, the Brazilian spoke about the support and camaraderie that he found by training out in Thailand on some of the most talent-stacked mats that you can find anywhere in the world.

During their paths to success under the ONE Championship banner, Andrade and Malykhin have become great friends who support one another in their pursuits.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Fabricio Andrade revealed how Anatoly Malykhin is the kind of fighter you want around you during a camp due to his constant positive and energetic aura that reflects out of him:

“He’s a very nice guy, very positive, good person to have around, always happy you know. The person that you see when he’s giving interviews, when he’s fighting, the way he reacts, he’s that person everyday. He’s happy, excited, and always changing the atmosphere around him.”
