The time for talk is over, as second-ranked ONE bantamweight contender Fabricio Andrade is gearing up for the biggest fight of his life.
On October 21, ‘Wonder Boy’ headlines ONE on Prime on Video 3: Lineker vs. Andrade at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur against perhaps the most dangerous knockout artist MMA has ever seen.
After racking up five straight wins inside the Circle, the 25-year-old earned himself a world title shot against reigning 145-pound king John Lineker. Just days before their high-stakes encounter, the defiant Andrade is eager to show that he’s the superior fighter between the two.
The gutsy challenger said during the ONE on Prime Video 3 virtual media faceoffs:
“He doesn’t need to be worried about how prepared I am for this fight. He can be sure that I’m gonna bring a level of striking that he has never seen in his life. And he can be sure that I’m ready to knock him out.”
Lineker does have a notorious reputation as one of the best finishers in the world. As his moniker aptly suggests, ‘Hands of Stone’ has fists that brought total oblivion to his past opponents.
Lineker has 17 career wins by knockout, with the last three taking place inside the Circle. However, it didn’t stop the brash Fabricio Andrade from spewing some venom against Lineker every chance he could.
The Tiger Muay Thai product called out Lineker in his post-fight interviews, media appearances, and social media posts. When their paths finally collide, Andrade wants to prove that he’s not someone whose bark is worse than his bite. He added:
“The talk? It is what it is. I’m not here to say stuff that is not true. I’m just talking facts. I’m the better fighter, and I will come to knock him out.”

A guaranteed barnburner like this match-up deserves a fitting promotional video. Fabricio Andrade, of course, once again showcased his skills on the microphone when he laid out a menacing threat against his fellow Brazilian.
‘Wonder Boy’ shared the clip on his Instagram page, and did not skimp out on the gory details of what he’ll do to Lineker once they finally lock horns inside the Circle:
“I’m gonna kill him. I’m gonna destroy him. If he walks forward like the way he did with the other guys, he’s gonna get knocked out early. I’m the biggest problem in his entire life. He cannot hide. I’m gonna knock [him] out. I’m going to take his head, and I’m gonna wear my crown. I’m coming for you John ‘Chicken’ Lineker. You are next.”
Judging by his body of work, Fabricio Andrade does have the world-class skills to back up his claims. Now, it’s time to put those words into action against the best fighter he’s ever faced in his young career so far.
