UFC lightweight Rafa Garcia suffered a nasty cut to the head in his unanimous decision win over Hayisaer Maheshate on Saturday night. Garcia's teammate Cub Swanson subsequently informed that 'Gifted' stopped bleeding after almost two hours. 'Killer' wrote on Twitter:

"Rafa Garcia had a cut artery on his head. It took the UFC medical staff almost two hours to get it to stop bleeding. He is ok now 🙏🏽 #UFCVegas66"

Rafa Garcia put on an immense display of grit and chin in rallying for the decision win despite being opened up by a nasty elbow in the second round.

While Garcia is seemingly fine now, fans called out the UFC for negligence. According to the majority of fans, 'Gifted' should have been rushed to the hospital after having bled for a substantial while. @powerliftingbjj wrote:

"Hang on… why the f**k didn’t they take him to the hospital?"

"2 hours? Wouldn’t you go to the hospital say after the first hour??"

Some fans also took the opportunity to take a dig at the promotion's heavily criticized healthcare policy.

When UFC middleweight Gregory Rodrigues rallied for a win despite suffering a nasty cut on his forehead

Gregory Rodrigues took on Chidi Njokuani at UFC Vegas 60 in September. Rodrigues' forehead was gashed open by a brutal knee from Njokuani in the very first round, exposing the Supratrochlear artery.

However, 'Robocop' mounted a stunning comeback to score a second-round TKO win.

Rodrigues heaped praise on his corner for guiding him back to his senses after the brutal injury. The 30-year-old said during the post-fight presser:

"I remember, I know I was dizzy. [It] was very hard... I was a little like, man, what happened then as the blood started [to] come down... I was kind of blind try[ing] to figure out what happened. But man, like I said, I want to say thank you for my corners bro. My trainers, those guys are amazing, they did an amazing job... they started talking with me and I was [like] no no, let me calm down and I started listening [to them saying] move the legs and stuff like that... And then I think, I need to start something. I need to start like throw my bombs."
