The latest addition to the UFC from the northern region of the Greater Caucasus is the 28-year-old undefeated Dagestani fighter Sharaputdin Magomedov.

Sharaputdin Magomedov fights in the middleweight division and goes by the fight moniker 'Bullet'. Fans are especially hyped at the Russian fighter's signing to the UFC as, unlike his Dagestani contemporaries, Magomedov is primarily a striker.

He has 13 knockout victories in his professional career spanning 17 fights. One of his more infamous knockouts came via a hook kick in the second round against Joel dos Santos at AMC Fight Night 106.

Sharaputdin Magomedov last fought in a promotion called TFC (Thailand Fighting Championship) in Phuket. He fought in the promotion's 10th edition against Indian MMA fighter Kushal Vyas. 'Bullet' won the bout via knockout within eight seconds of the first round.

Interestingly, Magomedov hasn't yet submitted any of his opponents, which is unlike most of his country-men fighting in MMA. Dagestan is known for its breed of superior wrestlers, sambo combatants and submission grapplers.

Other well-known fighters from Dagestan with a striking pedigree are UFC bantamweight Said Nurmagomedov and lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, who have four career knockouts each.

Another striking phenom from Dagestan is Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov, who has eight knockout wins in his career spanning 16 fights.

Sharaputdin Magomedov is currently signed to MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz's Dominance MMA management, which houses UFC fighters like Kamaru Usman, Justin Gaethje and Islam Makhachev.

When newly signed UFC middleweight Sharaputdin Magomedov tried to morally police a romantic couple

Sharaputdin Magomedov might be a dangerous person inside the octagon, but don't let him catch you kissing your significant other in public spaces. The Dagestani striking phenom was involved in a scuffle with a man who was seen kissing his girlfriend in a mall in Dagestan.

'Bullet' happened to be standing behind a couple on an escalator when the couple shared an intimate moment. This gesture of love didn't sit well with the MMA fighter who proceeded to confront the man once they reached the bottom of the escalator. Not taking too kindly to Magomedov getting in his face, the man proceeded to sucker-punch him, which resulted in a scuffle.

The two were eventually separated, however, and the man returned with a couple of his friends to confront Magomedov. As soon as the man entered the mall, Sharaputdin Magomedov clocked him with a right hand and stomped him in the face once downed.

According to a report by Lowkick MMA, the Russian fighter was charged with hooliganism and disturbing public order following the incident.

Magomedov released the following statement after the incident:

"One has to understand the situation, in Makhachkala there are unwritten rules, a kind of moral code of our own. In Moscow it is acceptable (for people to display affection in public), but with us it is not acceptable. I could not shut up."

Although Magomedov defended his actions, he expressed regret at stomping the downed man.
