Tatiana Suarez has not competed since 2019 after suffering a series of injuries. She has shown immense promise in the UFC strawweight division and has a 5-0 record in the promotion as well as being an Ultimate Fighter winner.

Her return to the octagon will take place at UFC Fight Night 220 in February and will most likely take place in the flyweight division.

Prominent MMA analyst Luke Thomas believes Tatiana Suarez could dominate women's MMA

Luke Thomas and Brian Campbell, co-hosts the popular MMA podcast Morning Kombat, recently predicted how the UFC's divisions will unfold in 2023.

While previewing the women's flyweight division, Thomas pointed out that Tatiana Suarez will most likely return to competition in 2023. The grappling-heavy style that she uses could see her dominate the division upon her return, according to Thomas. However, the analyst acknowledged that her injuries and extended hiatus may negatively affect her performance in the cage. Thomas said:

"You forgot a key name, I believe, the return of Tatiana Suarez. She could come back to this division and just absolutely - now we don't know 'cause she's been out for so long and she had the neck injury, but if she comes back she might just hammer through everybody along the way."
