John Lineker vs. Fabricio Andrade came to a disappointing end following an unintentional low blow which led to the fight being declared a no contest.

For two and a half rounds, the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3 lived up to it's expectations, with both men having moments of offensive brilliance.

After hurting Lineker with a knee to the body, a follow-up shot from Andrade landed a bit low, and Lineker couldn’t continue the fight.

Following the match-up, ONE Championship shared a video of a frustrated ‘Wonder Boy’ throwing his mouthpiece to the ground in response to the outcome of the match. Former AEW and WWE star Malakai Black showed his support for the fighter who was in the ascendancy, commenting on ONE Championship’s Instagram post:

“I feel bad for the dude. Prepped harder than he most likely has ever done. Rematch is going to be a banger.”

Black has an extensive training background in several disciplines of martial arts which he uses to add to his in-ring performances.

Whilst the fight was stopped with neither fighter being declared the winner, Fabricio Andrade proved that he is not out of his depth in a fight with Lineker. The rising contender is certain to get another shot at the vacant title, likely in a rematch which will be simply unmissable after their contest on Friday night.

ONE on Prime Video 3: John Lineker vs. Fabricio Andrade ends in no contest after unintentional groin shot

In the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3, two of the promotion's most dangerous finishers met when veteran John Lineker took on rising contender Fabricio Andrade.

After missing the bantamweight limit of 145-pounds, John Lineker was stripped of his world title and was unable to win it back on Friday night. Fabricio Andrade, on the other hand, was still eligible to claim the belt, and he rose to the occasion in Kuala Lumpur.

Whilst the build-up pointed out the devastating power of John Lineker, it was Andrade who landed the first big shot of the fight in the first round. Just as he predicted in the lead-up to the fight, Andrade turned Lineker into a wrestler as ‘Hands of Stone’ attempted to recover after sensing the fight was slipping away from him.

Midway through the third round, Andrade hurt Lineker with a knee to the body but his follow-up shot with the same strike landed to the groin and broke the former world champion's protective cup. With Lineker unable to continue, the fight was ruled a no contest, leaving the ONE bantamweight world title vacant.
