In the end, the 39-year-old Thompson got his hand raised as he defeated Holland by TKO via corner stoppage at the end of the fourth round.

The bout was awarded the Fight of the Night honors and both welterweights took home an additional cheque of $50,000.

'Showtime' and Thompson shared the octagon back in March 2019 in a five-round welterweight main event. 'Wonderboy' was getting the better of Pettis for the majority of the fight but in the closing moments of the second round, 'Showtime' landed a Superman punch that knocked Thompson out.
