It's hard to find another champion to mirror the greatness of Jon Jones. 'Bones', from 2008 to now, has rarely faced any opposition that truly challenged him inside the octagon. The 37-year-old has dispatched at least three generations of fighters whilst staying on top.
Great champions have come and gone but none has stayed on top as dominantly and as long as 'Bones'. However, according to Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, there's one current champion who has the potential to have a run similar to Jones.
In an appearance at the Adam Carolla show, 'Rampage' said:
"Ima tell you, what's that guy's name that just knocked out Max Holloway? Topuria? I think he has a good run to being like, a Jon Jones. Like an undefeated guy."

UFC commentator Jon Anik provides insight on the Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall unification bout
Perhaps no other fight in the MMA world today is more in demand than the UFC heavyweight world title unification bout between undisputed champ Jones and interim titleholder Tom Aspinall.
Ever since Jones and Aspinall won the UFC heavyweight title and UFC interim heavyweight title last year, respectively, talks of the bout being the biggest in heavyweight history started circulating. However, Jones has expressed on multiple occasions that he isn't interested in fighting Aspinall unless he gets paid accordingly.
Renowned UFC commentator Jon Anik recently provided his two cents on the matter in an interview with MMA Junkie on YouTube, saying:
''I have no inside information. I truly don’t. You can call it informed speculation. … But I do believe that fight is going to happen...This is the fight. Even though Jon Jones isn’t the natural heavyweight in body that Tom Aspinall is, he’s not going to fight Alex Pereira right now. He’s going to fight Tom Aspinall.''
On Jones' insistence to get paid more to fight TomAspinall, Anik said:
''It just comes down to what Jon Jones’ number is. What is Jon Jones’ net worth? What number is he looking for? Is it 25 million (dollars) to show?...I feel like the company is in a great position to make this fight, and I think you’ve got to do Las Vegas. You’ve got to do International Fight Week 2025.”
