Stamp Fairtex returns to the circle this Friday night as ONE Championship returns to action in 2023 with ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. Emanating from Impact Arena in Bangkok, the Thai fan favorite will look to put on a show in her home country when she meets Muay Thai and kickboxing specialist Anissa Meksen in a historic mixed-rules super fight.

Before Stamp dances her way down the ramp on January 13, ONE looks back at one of her best performances to date. Going back to the end of 2021, Stamp met ‘The Indian Tigress’ Ritu Phogat in the ONE Women’s Atonweight World Grand Prix final. ONE Championship is giving fans the chance to relive the bout for free on YouTube.

Stamp Fairtex ran through the competition during the World Grand Prix in 2021, earning a shot at atomweight queen Angela Lee in the process. Stamp came up short in her first MMA world title bid against Lee, but sitting as the No.1-ranked contender in the division, a decisive win over Meksen could earn her a rematch.

With her impressive run in the World Grand Prix tournament, Stamp Fairtex earned the right to become the No.1 contender, challenging atomweight queen Angela Lee for the world title that she had only ever worn.

The two women delivered an instant classic at the promotion’s 10th-year anniversary showcase ONE X, with Stamp nearly pulling off the upset after delivering a brutal body shot that sent Lee reeling. In the end, Lee would endure and put her grappling to work, securing a second-round rear-naked choke to retain her title.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Stamp looked back at the bout, and while she came up short, it was a good test of her skills, and she learned a valuable lesson in the process.

“My life has been pretty cool this year. First thing first, I had a big chance to face Angela Lee for the World Title. Although I lost, I didn’t regret sharing the circle with her. I learned a great lesson from that fight. It was a big, good test for me.”
