UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has never been knocked out in his promotional career. In fact, 'The Predator' has never been knocked out in his professional mixed martial arts career.

His first UFC loss against former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic came via unanimous decision. At UFC 220 in 2018, Miocic was able to shut out Ngannou's onslaught with his superior grappling.

However, in their rematch at UFC 260 in 2021, the Cameroonian fighter triumphed via a brutal second-round KO.

The reigning heavyweight kingpin's second UFC loss came against 'The Black Beast' Derrick Lewis at UFC 226 in 2018. The fight, which was criticized for its lack of action, saw Ngannou suffer yet another unanimous decision loss.

His first loss in MMA, against Zoumana Cisse, also came via unanimous decision.

'The Predator' is the most feared KO artist in the UFC, with 10 of his 12 wins in the promotion coming via knockout stoppages. In his overall MMA career, 12 out of his 17 wins have come via knockout. Interestingly, the only decision win of Francis Ngannou's career came in his first title defense against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 this January.

The Extreme Couture pupil also holds the record for the heaviest punch ever recorded.

How powerful is Francis Ngannou's punch?

Based on a punch power test conducted at the UFC Performance Institute, heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou produced a force of 129,161 units from his overhand right on the PowerKube.

Ngannou's punch broke the record for the hardest punch ever recorded, which was previously held by kickboxer Tyrone Spong, who registered 114,000 units.

The scary fact is that 'The Predator's' punch produced a power of 51064 foot-pounds per second, which is equivalent to 93 horsepower or, in simple terms, the power of a small family sedan. Even an off-balance uppercut from the UFC champion registered 122,000 units on PowerKube.

Francis Ngannou is currently recovering from knee surgery following his successful title defense against Gane in January. According to a report by ESPN MMA, the 36-year-old is targeting a 2023 return to the octagon.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is being touted as one of the possible opponents Ngannou might face on his return to the cage.
