“He needs to call out Mayweather” - Fans react to Rodtang’s slick boxing skills

Combat sports fans were highly impressed with the slick boxing skills of 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon. The Muay Thai superstar recently posted a sparring video of him mixing it up in the 'sweet science'.

On Instagram, the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion shared:

"Only we fight is enough.👊🏻👊🏻"

ONE Championship followers were impressed with the lifelong Muay Thai striker performing well in pugilism, with many making their enthusiasm known in the comments.

One Instagram user even mentioned the Thai striker in the same breath as the great Floyd Mayweather:

"He needs to call out Mayweather so he can shut him up. I’d pay to see Rodtang ruin Floyd in boxing 🥊 not these little fresh YouTube kids."

In the same vein, another user suggested that 'The Iron Man' should seek a match against Manny Pacquiao:

"My suggestion Manny pacquiao is doing exhibition match with people all around the world ... Pacman likes fighting young people half he’s age, I really think that you would be a perfect fit."

Jacob Smith, a former opponent of the flyweight champion, noted how impressive 'The Iron Man' looks:

"Your movement is underrated. Look great 👊🏼"

Rodtang set to be in action at ONE Fight Night 6

Followers of combat sports always plan ahead to ensure they can watch Rodtang Jitmuangnon fight, and that time is nearly here.

At ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, he will not be defending his Muay Thai throne. Instead, he will be competing in a different sport.

On January 13, 'The Iron Man' will be back in the ONE circle in a kickboxing battle. His opponent for the evening is China's 'The Eagle of Yi' Jiduo Yibu. The Thai striking phenom is looking to collect more ONE gold, this time in kickboxing. ONE Fight Night 6 is live and free for North American fans with Prime Video.

Rodtang was originally booked to face Spain's Daniel Puertas. Puertas, however, got moved up the card and will now fight for the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing world title fight against Superlek Kiatmoo9. Now, 'The Iron Man' has been booked against Jiduo Yibu.

Speaking in an interview with Tom Taylor of SCMP MMA, Rodtang compared the two opponents, saying:

"These two opponents are very different from each other. Puertas is very aggressive and he has a similar style as I do. I know his weakness, which is if I keep pushing he will feel [my power] as I hit him. Yibu is very different. He’s left-handed so we have to come up with a new plan.”
