Michael Bisping is sharing his thoughts on Michael Chandler's future with the UFC and what he needs to do to get back on track.

Bisping recapped UFC 281 on his YouTube channel. He brought up that even though Chandler is an exciting fighter, his record doesn't give an accurate depiction of what he's brought to the promotion:

"Chandler, I mean, so much respect for the guy. What a fight that was and what a fighter he is. But he's lost three out of five in the UFC so far. So he's gotta go and turn this around."

'Iron' came into the promotion following a decorated career in Bellator, where he was arguably the face of the promotion. He made quick work of Dan Hooker in his debut and has since gone 1-3 inside the octagon. Bisping added that there could still be big fights on the horizon for the former Bellator lightweight champion:

"Yeah, he's a fan favorite and he will still get huge fights, but he wants to win. So maybe he might fight a Conor McGregor, but McGregor is not going to be back for a while. Regardless, it's going to be a big fight and Michael Chandler is always money."

Despite being submitted by Poirier, it was a very close fight and 'Iron' was successful when he used his wrestling in the second round. He slammed 'The Diamond' and controlled him on the ground, and even secured a german suplex. This was similar to the one he landed on Benson Henderson in Bellator.

Who will Michael Chandler fight next?

Michael Chandler proved to be well worth the investment for the UFC as all his bouts have been entertaining.

Even in defeat, the former Bellator lightweight champion had his moments where he could have won each fight, but couldn't finish his opponent. He used his post-fight interview opportunities to get his name in the title mix at 155lbs and generate interest in lucrative fights with some of the promotion's biggest names.

There are plenty of options for 'Iron' as he looks to bounce back from his most recent setback. A big win could put him back into the top 5 and within reach of a title shot. Another possibility could be taking 6 months off and returning for a marquee bout with either Eddie Alvarez or Conor McGregor once they re-enter the USADA testing pool.
