Darren Till is sharing details about the nasty eye injury he sustained in training.

Darren Till was a recent guest on Michael Bisping's podcast, Believe You Me, where he described when the injury took place and what his initial feelings were during that moment. The former welterweight title challenger mentioned it was probably the worst thing to happen to him and it left him feeling sick:

"We were wrestling. And I was wrestling this big guy and he's f***ing great. I shot in for a takedown and I swear Mike, his finger went to the back of my brain. I felt it hit my brain, I felt sick. Immediately I couldn't see - blood was pouring out of it - and I was like, 'No, I'm gonna carry on wrestling.' And everyone was looking like, 'He's f***ing mad, get him off the mat.'...It was bad for days"

'The Gorilla' then added that after posting about the injury on social media, he was upset and didn't appreciate how former middleweight title challenger Chael Sonnen reacted and reported on it:

"You know me Mike, I just do posts and don't think about it. And then Chael Sonnen starts saying, 'This is like an indicator Till is going to pull out the fight." I'm like, 'Chael, shut the f*** up mate with your little podcast.' Cause lad he's scared of me, Chael, cause I threatened to put his number up like I did Ariel's (Helwani). No one wants smoke... no one wants that."

'The Gorilla' has been quite an entertaining follow on social media and has not shied away from responding to his detractors who wrote him off.

What's next for Darren Till?

Darren Till is scheduled to return to the octagon on December 10, when he fights Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282. The pay-per-view is shaping up to be an incredible card and it's so loaded that Till's bout is taking place in the prelim portion.

'The Gorilla' will be looking to snap his two-fight losing skid and get back on track in the UFC middleweight division. At one point, he had an unbeaten 17-0 record, but since losing to then-welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, he has gone 1-3 inside the octagon.

The former welterweight title challenger still has a lot of potential and is in the prime of his career at 29-years-old.
