Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman have a lot of bad blood between them. The pair have made it known that they do not like each other, and their 'beef' only increased after fighting twice in the UFC.
Usman won both times, putting his title on the line and beating 'Chaos' convincingly. However, Covington argues that he should have won their second fight at UFC 268.
The first time the pair fought at UFC 245, it turned out to be a two-way duel with both fighters boxing it out. Despite being two of the best wrestlers in the division, neither of the attempted a single takedown. Usman outboxed his opponent through all five rounds, and even broke 'Chaos's' jaw in the third round before ultimately dropping him twice in the fifth.
'The Nigerian Nightmare' kept his word, dominating Colby Covington in the first fight. The pair fought again a year later at UFC 268 and this fight turned out to be a classic as well. Usman took control of the fight early, knocking Covington down twice in the second round. The American did not back down and turned up the aggression in the later rounds to take the fight the distance.
Kamaru Usman won the bout via a unanimous decision to retain his belt and cement his name at the top of the pound-for-pound rankings at the time.

However, after fighting each other twice in what were two competitive bouts, it all ended with mutual respect and admiration. Cameras picked up the conversation between the pair after the final bell rang after their second fight at UFC 268:
"You know I'm just trying to sell it for you."
Usman replied saying:
"I know, I know, it's all love."
The pair exchanged more words with each other, which were not audible to cameras before the referee urged the pair to go back to their corners. Despite all the bad blood between the pair, they found a mutual respect and admiration for each other after going to war for 10 rounds over 2 fights.
