“I can always rely on the wisdom” - Superlek on why the art of fighting is more brain than brawn

'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9

Reigning and undisputed ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 of Thailand says the fight game is more than just the art of trading strikes with an opponent.

The 28-year-old superstar says fighting is akin to a high-level chess game, a battle of the brains.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Superlek explained what he thinks about fighting.

'The Kicking Machine' stated:

"Of course, there will always be key takeaways in every fight. Every opponent has a different fighting style, I will have to analyze each of them and adjust to counter their plans. I gain more experience after each fight, and I can always rely on the wisdom more or less."

Superlek is one of the most cerebral fighters in the world's largest martial arts organization, and he says it's all about coming into the ring with a purpose.

'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 is set to challenge two-sport king 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title.

The two will lock horns at ONE 168: Denver, which broadcasts live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado on Friday, Sept. 6. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free on Amazon Prime Video.
