Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor took on undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in the crossover fight of the century.

At his peak inside the UFC octagon, McGregor ventured into the boxing ring and challenged Mayweather to a fight. After months of widespread promotion and numerous public appearances by the two fighters, they met at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The bout was scheduled for 12 rounds and took place on August 26, 2017.

McGregor started the fight strong and on the front foot despite expectations that he would be dominated. However, Mayweather took advantage of 'The Notorious' tiring out in the later rounds and also went on the offensive, contrary to his usual defensive style.

Floyd Mayweather ultimately knocked out Conor McGregor in the 10th round of the fight.

McGregor recently revisited fight highlights of Floyd Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez from 2013 and made a call back to his own meeting with 'Money.' He wrote that he would love a rematch and that he landed more strikes than Alvarez managed to.

"One of the greatest performances in Professional Boxing this was. I landed more shots on Floyd than Canelo. I’d love another go."

Conor McGregor praises Dillon Danis despite his loss against Logan Paul

Conor McGregor sung Dillon Danis' praises in the aftermath of his professional boxing debut against Logan Paul on the Prime card.

Dillon Danis and Logan Paul squared off after a heated build-up that even crossed personal boundaries on multiple instances. However, Danis' mixed martial arts instinct was his eventual undoing as his sixth round takedown attempt and illegal choke got him disqualified.

McGregor lauded Danis' effort and his pre-fight promotional efforts. He wrote:

"Proud of you Dillon! You built that card tremendously and went out swinging! 4x jiu jitsu world champion with the bottle to go into Pro boxing in front of the world. Chalk it up to the first time ever in history that has been done! Well done brother! Onwards!"
