Former ONE bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes is on the comeback trail. After dominating the division for the majority of his career, ‘The Flash’ now finds himself in the position of the hunter.

Ready to prove himself worthy of a world championship once again, Fernandes returns to the circle at ONE on Prime Video 4 against rising contender Stephen Loman. The event will be broadcast live and for free for all Amazon Prime Video subscribers across North America.

The fight will be the second outing for Fernandes this year after fighting in March. At ONE: Lights Out, his second reign in the division was put to a screeching halt at the hands of John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker.

Whilst he has a new challenge in front of him in Stephen Loman, ‘The Flash’ is still wary of the man who took his world championship.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Fernandes spoke about making the right adjustments if he was to rematch Lineker:

“Again, everything is about experience. I believe if I fight John Lineker again, I’ll go figure out something different for John Lineker. I’ll find a way.”

Despite losing the fight and his world championship, Bibiano Fernandes proved what had made him a world champion for so long in his last fight.

Though he wasn’t able to implement his game plan, the Brazilian stayed in there with one of the most devastating punchers in MMA. With a great display of heart and toughness, the 42-year old stayed in the fight for longer than many would’ve expected and even landed his own big shots.

“He won’t win easily” - Bibiano Fernandes ready for "a war" with Stephen Loman

At ONE on Prime Video 4, Bibiano Fernandes has a point to prove to the bantamweight division and to himself. The former bantamweight king will look to remind everyone just why he dominated the division for so long when he takes on No.5-ranked contender Stephen Loman.

In his comeback fight after losing his world championship in March, Fernandes is taking this opportunity to show that he can still compete with the rising contenders at 42 years of age.

In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘The Flash’ spoke about his mentality going into his fight with Stephen Loman:

“On the day of the fight, I will be ready to face him. He’s a good athlete, and he can even beat me, but I’ll tell you something, he won’t win easily. It will be a war.”

With the most world-title defenses in ONE Championship history, Bibiano Fernandes’ legacy is assured. However, on November 18, he gets the opportunity to add one more chapter to his legendary career.

As the ONE bantamweight world championship currently lies vacant, a win over Loman would put Fernandes right back into the picture for a chance to reclaim what was formerly his.
