Fabricio Andrade’s meteoric rise in ONE Championship’s bantamweight division meant that a world title opportunity was imminent. He also made sure that John Lineker would be watching his every move.

The brash Andrade can finally grab that opportunity when he challenges Lineker for the ONE bantamweight world championship in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3 this Friday at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

The No.2-ranked bantamweight contender has been on a verbal campaign against the bantamweight king and prophesied what he’ll do to Lineker in Malaysia’s capital city.

Sharing a snippet of his fight’s hype video to Instagram, Andrade said he’s the biggest problem Lineker has ever had. The world title challenger added that his reign atop the bantamweight division is coming and no one is stopping his march towards the throne. Fabricio Andrade said in the video:

“I’m gonna kill him. I’m gonna destroy him. If he walks forward like the way he did with the other guys, he’s gonna get knocked out early. I’m the biggest problem in his entire life. He cannot hide. I’m gonna knock [him] out. I’m going to take his head, and I’m gonna wear my crown. I’m coming for you John ‘Chicken’ Lineker. You are next.”

Andrade has been on a tear since joining ONE Championship in July 2020. ‘Wonder Boy’ is on a perfect 5-0 run in the promotion and is on a streak of three straight first-round knockouts.

That unprecedented savagery in the division coincided with his unmatched trash talk where he called out Lineker at every chance he got. Andrade wasted no opportunity to talk smack about Lineker going on Instagram and the microphone whenever commentator Mitch Chilson talked to him inside the cage. He was especially ruthless during the face-off interview where he constantly berated Lineker during the ONE on Prime Video 3 virtual press conference.

Fabricio Andrade wants to end John Lineker

Going on a knockout streak is not uncommon in mixed martial arts, but a run of three consecutive finishes in the first round is something special. Fabricio Andrade is called ‘Wonder Boy’ for a reason and that is his way of finishing off opponents in highlight reel fashion.

Li Kai Wen, Jeremy Pacatiw, and Kwon Won Il have all suffered knockout defeats to Andrade, and the 25-year-old now plans to add Lineker to that list. During the ONE on Prime Video 3 virtual press conference, Fabricio Andrade told Lineker that there’s no way of escaping his gruesome fate:

“I’m the guy who has been calling him out. He’s been ducking me. 100%, I’m going to put on a show, there’s going to be another knockout and we’ll have a new champion.”
