Fabricio Andrade has been eager to share the circle with John Lineker for the better part of two years. On October 21, he’ll finally get his wish as the two knockout artists share the main event stage at ONE on Prime Video 3.

Andrade will be the first man to challenge Lineker for his bantamweight world championship after ‘Hands of Stone’ scored a brutal knockout over former champion Bibiano Fernandes in March.

Walking into the bout with six combined knockouts in their last six outings, sparks are sure to fly between two of the hardest-hitting bantamweight fighters in the world.

During an appearance at the ONE on Prime Video 3 virtual press conference, ‘Wonder Boy’ delivered his prediction for the main event clash:

“I’m the guy who has been calling him out. He’s been ducking me. 100%, I’m going to put on a show, there’s going to be another knockout and we’ll have a new champion.”

With an 80% finish rate in ONE, Fabricio Andrade certainly has a penchant for spectacular knockouts. Just ask his last opponent, Kwon Won Il. It took ‘Wonder Boy’ just 62-seconds to put away the South Korean, delivering a devastating body kick that folded Kwon and showed the world that Andrade can get it done with his hands or feet.

Fabricio Andrade is not afraid of John Lineker’s “average” striking

When looking at a world champion with 35 career wins and 17 by way of knockout, “average” is not the word that typically comes to mind, but that’s exactly what Fabricio Andrade sees in the skills of the bantamweight titleholder John Lineker.

Speaking to ONE, ‘Wonder Boy’ gave his own critique of Lineker’s skillset, saying:

“I believe he is an average seven [out of 10]. Most are in this average, a few manage to reach eight, nine, and 10 when we talk about striking. I believe that I’ve managed to overcome this average, and that’s why I believe I’m on another level. Not that Lineker has bad striking, but he’s average, and I’m above average."

Needless to say, Fabricio Andrade is sold on his own skills and is going all in on himself, leaving Malaysia with a shiny new piece of gold around his waist. Of course, ‘Hands of Stone’ will have something to say about it, but the reigning bantamweight king is more interested in talking with his fists than his mouth.
