Jarred Brooks has envisioned winning the ONE strawweight world title from Joshua Pacio, and he believes he knows how it's going to go down.

‘The Monkey God’ is scheduled to challenge Pacio for the strawweight strap on Saturday, December 3 at ONE 164 in the champ’s home of Manila, Philippines.

Ahead of their highly-anticipated clash, the American star spoke to Unwrapped Sports to share what he plans on doing with his rival when they finally meet in the circle:

“I think that it’s either going to be a straight right hand, I’m gonna catch him straight down the pipe. He likes to get his head offline, don’t get me wrong but he has to bring it back sometime, so when his head’s online I’m gonna look for it. I’m gonna go headhunting. Besides that, if his skills are what they look like, then I’ll take him to the ground and submit him.”

While it may sound brash, Brooks has the credentials to back it up. So far, he has won all three of his matches in ONE Championship, with two coming by way of submission. One of those submission wins came at the expense of Pacio’s Team Lakay stablemate, Lito Adiwang.

If his battle with Adiwang is any indication of what he can expect from Pacio, then Jarred Brooks might just pull off what he intends to do at ONE 164.

Jarred Brooks aiming for a quick finish against Joshua Pacio

Jarred Brooks is confident in his claim that he is better than Joshua Pacio, and he wants to prove that claim by making quick work of the ONE strawweight world champion.

During an interview with MMA Sucka, Brooks predicted when he would get the finish against Pacio:

“I’ve already got the looks down, I’ve already got the fight count in my head and I wanna get it done in the first round.”

Of course, it will be easier said than done against a competitor like Joshua Pacio. ‘The Passion’ has won eight of his last nine fights, including all of his last four.

During the same stretch, he finished three opponents via submission and three via TKO or knockout. Throughout his career, Pacio has shown an ability to be dangerous both on the feet and on the ground.

Meanwhile, Jarred Brooks has overwhelmed his opponents using his wrestling during his stint in ONE Championship but claimed he may showcase his kickboxing skills during his upcoming match against Pacio.

Find out who between these two warriors will come home with the ONE strawweight world championship after ONE 164.
