While busy further establishing her professional combat sports career, former two-sport world champion Stamp Fairtex is also setting herself up for life.

One of her goals this year is to have her own house built. Stamp said she is just waiting for the right time to do it.

The Thai superstar told ONE Championship in an interview:

“I hope that I can save enough money to build my own house. Now, I already have a blueprint, I’m just waiting for the right time. It's not good to rush. But I won’t hesitate to start, either. I will find a suitable opportunity to start a foundation of my own place.”

Stamp Fairtex once simultaneously held the atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world titles in ONE Championship before losing both in 2020 to Allycia Rodrigues and Janet Todd, respectively.

In recent years, she has steadily built an impressive body of work in mixed martial arts, even fighting reigning ONE women’s atomweight world champion Angela Lee for the belt last year. She fell short in her quest but hopes to get another shot at MMA gold in the future.

On January 13 at ONE Fight Night 6 in Bangkok, Stamp will see action in an atomweight mixed-rules MMA and Muay Thai contest against French-Algerian striker Anissa Meksen.

The event is live and free for North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription.

Stamp Fairtex learning English to better communicate with American fans

Apart from continuously developing her abilities as a fighter, former two-sport world champion Stamp Fairtex is also working on her communication skills – learning English, in particular.

Stamp Fairtex sees the importance of studying the English language as athletes like her in ONE Championship constantly speak with foreigners, be they athletes, officials, journalists or fans. It will also come in handy as the promotion makes a push into the North American market.

Speaking to SCMP MMA, Stamp said:

"I’ve been practicing a lot because I’ve been interacting with a lot of foreigners so I would like to be able to communicate."
