Andrew Tate is one of several who have taken to X to express elation at Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 United States presidential elections. The controversial social media influencer penned a simple tweet. He didn't congratulate Trump on the victory; instead, he showcased optimism.
In fact, his optimism was such that he claimed, whether serious or not, that he will now return to the United States. That, however, remains to be seen, as Tate is currently restricted to Romania, where he is battling serious criminal charges relating to human trafficking, sexual assault, and other alleged crimes.
"I'm moving back to America."
Tate has found himself at the center of various scandals and controversies throughout his tenure as a public figure. Most of the criticism aimed his way is from the left-wing of the political sphere, so he likely associates Trump's election as a shift in the political discourse surrounding him.
Regardless, he is currently in no position to be traveling anywhere until his legal troubles are resolved and he is found not guilty. While Tate remains confident that this will indeed be the outcome of his trial, he also claims to be the victim of a global conspiracy to silence him.
So, it remains to be seen how exactly he will react if the outcome of his legal issues isn't in his favor. This wouldn't, however, be the first time that Tate has commented on political matters across the globe, as he often takes aim at the current political landscape in the United Kingdom.
Andrew Tate isn't the only combat sports figure to react positively to Donald Trump's election win
Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer, is one of several combat sports figures to share his thoughts on Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 United States presidential elections. Former UFC interim lightweight champion and ex-BMF titleholder Justin Gaethje took to X to share his elation.
"SPEECH!!! God bless the USA @realDonalduTrump"
Other fighters said much the same, with former middleweight champion Sean Strickland being another high-profile example. He issued a tweet to express his delight over the disappointment of Trump detractors with the election results.
