Jonathan Di Bella is down for a clash with Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao.
After losing both his ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship and undefeated record in 2024, the Canadian-Italian will look to end the year on a high note when he steps back inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Friday, Dec. 6.
On that night, Di Bella will square off with streaking standout Rui Botelho at ONE Fight Night 26 airing live on Amazon Prime Video in the United States and Canada.
While Di Bella is necessarily concerned with anything beyond the task at hand, he's certainly open to a potential showdown with Sam-A, should he succeed in snapping Botelho's streak of back-to-back wins. Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA, Di Bella said:
"Perhaps maybe, yeah, I don't mind. I just want to focus on my next fight. After meeting Rui, we can talk about anything you, want for sure."
Di Bella is 12-1 in his combat sports career, his lone loss coming in his last outing against current two-sport king Prajanchai PK Saenchai at ONE Friday Fights 68.
Jonathan Di Bella hopes to make 2025 one of his busiest years yet
Getting a win over Rui Botelho at ONE Fight Night 26 would be a big step in the right direction for Di Bella in regards to one day reclaiming the ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship. Not to mention getting his 2025 started on the right foot.
As far as Di Bella's plans for the new year, the 28-year-old star hopes to compete at least three times in 2025 after being fairly inactive over the last couple of years:
"Three fights would be good. Three fights would be perfect. If it was in America, I'd love to do more but because of the travel, three fights are good."
Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 26 live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Dec. 6 in U.S. primetime.
