Former ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella of Canada and Italy is looking to put 2024 in his rear view mirror and is looking forward to a hopeful 2025.
The 28-year-old Canadian-Italian star suffered his first ever defeat earlier this year, when he succumbed to Thai rival Prajanchai PK Saenchai via five-round unanimous decision at ONE Friday Fights 68, surrendering his world title in the process.
But Di Bella wants to put the sting of defeat behind him, and aims to build himself back up next year.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Di Bella says he wants three fights next year to stay busy, whether in Asia or in America.
Di Bella said:
"Three fights would be good. Three fights would be perfect. If it was in America, I'd love to do more but because of the travel, three fights are good."
Di Bella is set to make his much-awaited return to action against Portugal's Rui Botelho in a three-round strawweight kickboxing bout.
The two lock horns at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Prime Video, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime on Friday, Dec. 6 from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
