Rising kickboxing star Nabil Anane sent massive shockwaves in Thailand this Friday with an upset victory over Felipe Lobo at ONE Fight Night 24.

The 6'3" ft striker has come a long way since giving up his first KO loss to longtime superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his debut fight. Surpassing expectations for the fourth consecutive time against a former world title holder, no less, has Anane's name among the elites in the stacked bantamweight Muay Thai division.

Proud to have had every advantage over Lobo when none believed in him, Anane said at post-event interviews:

"Yeah, many guys were surprised that I was fighting the guy ranked number three. Many people said I'm not on his level. I proved myself."

Nabil Anane did exactly what he set out to do, from the opening bell to the final bell against Felipe Lobo.

He used his distance and long-range to his advantage, shutting down Lobo's game plan with heavy leg kicks and accurate head strikes. Moreover, Anane's height was a major problem for Lobo, too. The Brazilian striker had a tough time closing the distance and setting up combinations, while Anane never stopped coming forward.
