Sean O'Malley recently shared his thoughts on a potential bout against Ryan Garcia and claimed that a blockbuster boxing clash between them could be on the horizon.

Garcia is coming off an incredible performance against Devin Haney this past weekend, which saw him earn a majority decision win. It's no secret that 'Suga' has always wanted to test himself in the boxing ring and he expressed interest in fighting 'KingRy'.

During a recent episode of his TimboSugaShow podcast via Championship Rounds, the reigning UFC bantamweight champion noted that he believes he still needs to become a bigger star. He even claimed that he had been informed that the promotion would allow him to compete in a boxing bout if it was lucrative for them. He said:

"I still gotta become bigger. Two more f***ing sick performances, then we're talking about being able to do whatever the f*** we want. They [UFC management] told me, 'You can do a boxing fight one hundred percent, if it makes us enough money'. The option is there, it just has to be able to make enough money but Ryan [Garcia] being a fu**ing freak like that, you need two A-sides to make a fu**ing Floyd-Conor fight."

It will be interesting to see whether O'Malley vs. Garcia materializes in the future as that could be a very lucrative fight for all involved.

Sean O'Malley expresses interest in competing at The Sphere

In addition to expressing interest in a boxing bout against Ryan Garcia, UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley recently hinted that he'd like to compete at The Sphere.

The new Las Vegas venue is scheduled to host UFC 306 on Sept. 14 as the promotion celebrates Mexican Independence Day. UFC is yet to announce the headliners for the event, but that hasn't stopped O'Malley from putting the idea out there for him to compete on the card.
