A certain UFC Flyweight had to fight a towering rival once in the name of love.

Growing up in Myanmar and later moving to the United States, Joshua Van was often faced with having to defend himself against bullies for not yet knowing how to speak English.

The now surging UFC flyweight fighter found himself to be quite good at beating up these bullies despite being undersized, but things would eventually catch up to him. A jilted ex-boyfriend of someone wanted to fight Van, and things got out of hand rather quickly upon realizing his opponent was six feet tall when meeting up for the throwdown.

Speaking to MMA Fighting regarding this lone loss on the streets, Van said,

"I was like oh s***, I f***** up. Can’t back out now. So we had to bang it out and thank god, he didn’t know how to fight. I was banging the dude out, cutting him up and the dude just kept coming. I had to throw up and I told him, you win. That was probably the only fight I lost."
"I hit him, I threw up right after and I said look, let’s be friends, you win. That was the longest street fight I ever had. He shook my hand. He got two of his friends, and I had one of my friends, and we all shook hands and we just sat there."
