Lightweight king Christian Lee showed empathy towards Fabricio Andrade after the bantamweight's title fight at ONE on Prime Video 3 came to a disappointing end.

Andrade, who may have been on his way to victory, walked away empty-handed following an illegal groin strike. Meanwhile, John Lineker did the same after missing weight, leaving the division's title in a place of vacancy at the moment.

Lee was quick to express his empathy for Andrade's no contest. The champ told ONE:

It’s very frustrating - losing a fight by disqualification. Especially with something like that, the way it went down, you never really know if the fight should have continued. You never know what [really] happened, who knows? Only the two guys in the circle would know where that knee landed, whether it was enough to stop the fight.”

While Lee questions where the knee actually landed, it's hard to argue its illegality after seeing Lineker's shattered cup.

Fans can see the fight's final sequence below:

The 25-year-old phenom appeared to be championship material in the fight's early rounds, controlling the distance with his reach advantage. Andrade finished round two in dominant fashion before the fight-ending low blow in the next frame.

Christian Lee believes Andrade was close to a finish

While Lineker had a few moments throughout the fight, it was the challenger who was mostly leading the dance. Lee continued with his support for 'Wonder Boy':

“But if the fight had continued, absolutely, Andrade would have finished the fight over there. For myself, it’s extremely frustrating. In my fight against Edward Kelly, I brought my opponent down to the ground and finished with legal strikes and then it was disqualified. So I understand how frustrating that would feel.”

Like Christian Lee, many fans saw the writing on the wall towards the end of round two. Regardless, the pair still have unfinished business and you can count on them rematching in the near future.

Expect Lineker to enter with a different gameplan to counteract what went wrong for him in the first go-around.

As for Christian Lee, the star will grace the circle once again at ONE on Prime Video 4 against Kiamrian Abbasov in a champ vs. champ megafight.
