Former ONE flyweight kickboxing world title challenger Takeru Segawa is on a mission to impress when he gets back into action at ONE Friday Fights 81 on September 27.

That evening inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, 'The Natural Born Crusher' meets Burmese standout Thant Zin in a flyweight kickboxing joust.

After having his dream to get things off to a flyer crushed in his debut outing to the hands of 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 165, the Japanese fighter vows to turn his career on its head inside the Thai capital city.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post, Takeru promised to entertain, slam his foot through the gas pedal, and ensure he sees off his opposite number inside the distance.

The 33-year-old said:

"I want to make it the most exciting fight of the event and to win by KO."

Fans who have long followed the Japanese superstar's career should know that it is a usual day in the office for the former multi-time K-1 world champion.

Takeru's ability to blend his speed, attacking weapons, and fight IQ has made him a must-watch sensation from the very start of his career. Even in his loss to Superlek, 'The Natural Born Crusher' never backed down until the final bell.

He will, however, have the perfect chance to get back to winning ways, establish himself as a force in the division, and perhaps make a case for himself to run it back with 'The Kicking Machine' in his return at ONE Friday Fights 81.

Apart from being pumped to compete under the bright lights of the promotion, Takeru is thrilled to finally realize his dream of competing inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium next week.

In the same interview, the ONE Championship megastar continued:

"I fought at Rajadamnern Stadium when I was still in high school, so I am very happy to be able to fight at Lumpinee, another great Hall of Fame venue.”

ONE Friday Fights 81, which emanates live from the Mecca of Muay Thai on September 27, will be available via pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com.
